June is Pride Month, Part 3

Updated: Jun 26, 2021

June is Pride Month, a monthlong celebration of LGBTQ history, accomplishments, and community

Throughout the month of June, we will focus on different aspects of Pride in the eMinder and on the Web site. If you have a Pride-related story you would like us to share, please contact us!

Pride Parades

What would Pride Month be without Pride Parades? From the very start, activists started marching down the avenues in New York City and, soon after, in other cities across the country and world. Although early “parades” were more like protest marches, over time they adapted and changed into the loud & proud celebrations we’ve become accustomed to. Below is a small selection of photos from marches and parades across the decades. We can’t wait to be able to get back out on the pavement and shout out support for our brothers and sisters!
