Members Helping Members
Thirty years ago, a momentous decision was made between friends wishing there were more socializing options outside of DC, and Dulles Triangles was born. This year, to mark our thirtieth anniversary—making us one of the longest-lived LGBTQ+ social groups in the DC area—we’re throwing a bash to end all bashes, our 30th Anniversary Gay-la.
A party of this scale is expensive, and that’s where you come in.
Many Members lost financial ground or faced other hardships during the height of the pandemic. We know we will need to charge admission to cover our costs and we’d like to be able to provide reduced price or free tickets for the Gay-la to those who need, using member donations.
We're asking for those who can, to consider sponsoring members who might otherwise not be able to attend. Any amount helps, and we'll pool the money to help the most people.
Why should you sponsor?
We all have friends in the Club. For many of us, these friends are more like family. When they need help, we help them. It's what we do.
And you know that people will appreciate your help.
You'll also get recognition for your support. Sponsors will be listed in the program book for the Gay-la, and will be thanked from the stage at the event.
If you would rather sponsor anonymously, please let us know that by clicking the "Add a note" button upon checkout with your sponsorship, and add the word, "Anonymous".
If your sponsorship is from you and one or more other people, please add their names so we recognize them, too.
And if you want to sponsor in honor of someone else, perhaps as a memorial, please indicate that in the note, and send an email to Gala@DullesTriangles.com telling us how you'd like that to appear in the program book for the event.
Help is always discreet. No one but the person being helped ever needs to know that help was provided.
How much is a sponsorship?
Whether you can give a little or a lot, any amount will help and is appreciated. A sponsorship of $10 will help to reduce the ticket price for one member, a bit. Larger amounts will help more members, more. We'll consolidate all of the amounts and provide a way to help those who are in need.
